1. Who is in charge of data processing?

2. What types of personal information do we process? And why do we collect and use your personal information?

  • To better understand our customers and prospective customers and to enhance our Relationship Information, including by associating users with different devices and browsers they use
  • To improve our products, services, and digital content
  • For online targeting and advertising purposes
  • To support corporate transactions or reorganizations

  • Call center recordings and call monitoring records

We use this type of information:

  • For internal business purposes, such as call recordings, training, coaching or quality control
  • The use of photos and videos for e.g. social media purposes
  • For premises security purposes
  • For business continuity and disaster recovery

In most instances we collect personal information directly from you through our business relationship. We may also obtain information through a reseller or a business partner, by purchasing customer lists from marketing agencies, from your online surfing behaviour on our website, from social networks when you connect with these network’s credentials and through cookies or similar technologies.

Depending on the circumstances, these data processing activities may be based on the execution of a contract with you (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR), on our legitimate interest or the legitimate interest of a third party (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), or the need to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR).

We will also ask for your consent if required by law (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). If you have given us your consent for the processing of your data, you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future.

3. How long do we keep your personal information?

We keep your information as needed to perform the purposes described above, taking into consideration the need to provide the services, the security requirements, the legal requirements and the limitation or retention periods.

For marketing purposes, we keep relevant customer information for three years after the end of our relationship or since the last interaction with us.

4. Who do we share personal information with and where is it processed?

Personal data is processed by us and by our affiliates, as well as suppliers or service providers involved in the provision of the services and the fulfilment of the purposes.

Since we are a global company, teams and suppliers can have global or cross-border tasks. Therefore, the processing of your data may also take place outside the EU (or the EEA), in so-called third countries. We take measures to ensure that personal data also receives an adequate level of protection in these third countries.

  • with competent authorities, based on a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to respond to a judicial process, a valid official inquiry, or if otherwise required by law;

  • as instructed by you, the contractor or the user.

5. How do we secure information?

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. We maintain appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss and unauthorized alteration.

6. How to exercise your choices and rights about your personal information?

In order to exercise the data protection rights granted under applicable data protection law, such as the rights to access, to rectify, to request erasure or restriction of personal information, the right to object and data portability, you may make a request at the contact details available within the used application or at datenschutz@proleit.com.

If you believe that we are processing your personal data in breach of applicable law, you can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
