Tucher Bräu GmbH & Co. KG, Germany
Entire process control technology
The official inauguration in Nuremberg–Fuerth on September 24, 2008 marked the beginning of operation of the brand new Tucher Bräu brewery – equipped with the latest brewmaxx system generation.
The new plant is designed on the basis of an ultramodern ecological concept. Compared with its predecessor in the center of Fuerth, its average power, gas and water consumption has been cut by half – and this not only at the production facilities, but in the future in the office areas as well. The residual heat from the exhaust fumes of the steam boiler will be used to heat the administration building scheduled for construction in the near future. The logically structured areas of this greenfield brewery are all located close to each other: The brewmaxx-based control center not only controls all brewing processes, but also the auxiliary equipment. These are ideal prerequisites for the implementation of a consistent batch tracking solution and an energy data acquisition system for the entire brewery as well. The process-oriented materials management system, available for the first time with brewmaxx V8, is the heart of this sophisticated approach, enabling production with consistent material feed rates and product-related, precisely controlled consumption values. This comprehensive design concept not only provides ideal conditions for quality assurance, but also promises optimization potential for the future.
