Target:
In this course, the participants learn the structure of a database and how to handle data within a database management system. After the training, you will be able to independently retrieve and manipulate data from a database. You will also get to know the basic relationship between a database and the ProLeiT systems.

- Basics of databases (structure of databases)
- Structured Query Language (database queries)
- Data Definition Language (creation of database objects)
- Data Manipulation Language
- SQL programming (case discrimination, error handling, procedures, etc...)
- Useful applications (performance analysis, SQL jobs)
- Database reference to ProLeiT systems (depending on participant which system)
