ProLeiT at BrauBeviale 2018: Automation and MES Solutions for a sustainable Brewing and Beverage Industry

Once again this year, BrauBeviale – from 13 - 15 November 2018 in Nuremberg – will be the sector’s regular meeting place. A key focal point to this year’s event is the question of how companies can face the issue of sustainability and which course has to be set in order to be successful in the market in the next five to ten years.

In Hall 7 / Booth 619, ProLeiT will present its modular IT systems brewmaxx and Plant iT: efficient automation and MES solutions that not only provide plant operators with significant competitive advantages, but also provide a high degree of future security. In addition, ProLeiT will highlight current trends in the brewery and beverage industry such as Industry 4.0 and the Smart Factory. Learn how Augmented Reality, Voice Control or Artificial Intelligence can make tomorrow's automation a reality and contribute to the future of your business.

Furthermore, interested visitors can find out more about Stratus' innovative and powerful server solutions that reduce unplanned downtime and ensure the availability of mission-critical industrial applications. In today’s always-on global economy where seconds matter, unplanned downtime of critical industrial applications is unacceptable. It is the difference between business success and failure. Stratus will be demonstrating its’ ftServer® platform which ensures continuous availability for ProLeiT’s brewmaxx and plant iT. In addition we will preview the new Stratus® ztC™ Edge - a zero-touch, fully virtualized and self-protecting computing platform which is specifically designed for industrial edge environments.

Upgrade 9.60: New functions and system extensions
To coincide with the BrauBeviale exhibition, ProLeiT presents the upgrade 9.60 of its in-house developed process control systems and MES solutions Plant iT and brewmaxx. Among other things, the upgrade includes optimization of the engineering, improved scalability, extended curve displays and new search options in the web portal.
As of version 9.60, brewmaxx, Plant Direct iT and Plant Liqu iT have been released for S7-1500 Advanced Controllers from Siemens. As part of the upgrade, ProLeiT also announces the release of all its products for Microsoft Server 2016, MS SQL Server 2017 and MS Office 2016.

brewmaxx Integrate: MES, Reporting & Analyses
brewmaxx Integrate allows the “visualization” of all production processes. A key prerequisite in this case is integrated information management at MES level, which can be integrated and operated infinitely across process sequences and departments. brewmaxx Integrate can be used to merge and evaluate the required data from the individual production areas. Numerous properties, for example configurable reports for the web browser and mobile devices, provide maximum flexibility and protection when realizing a company-wide MES reporting system.

Line Management: minimizing downtime, maximizing plant efficiency
The add-on Plant Acquis iT LMS / brewmaxx LMS is used to precisely record, allocate and analyze fault data. Furthermore, it can be applied to create electronic shift and order records – an important step towards paperless production. Operation takes place via a web browser at available operating stations or using mobile end devices. This compact solution provides the basis for optimizing filling and packaging plants or auxiliary plants and can be implemented easily and quickly.

Batch Cockpit: perfect entry point to integrated batch analysis
The add-on Plant Integrate iT Batch Cockpit / brewmaxx Batch Cockpit is a software solution for greater transparency and more effective plant utilization in the process industry. The add-on is designed for evaluating, processing and validating production data. It additionally facilitates efficient analysis of the large volumes of batch and process data generated during production proceedings. It provides process plant operators with a precise overview of their production activities – meaning correlations are detected and potentials fully used.

Web Portal – web reporting including SDK for web applications
The browser-based Web Portal can be used to open reports online. It is not necessary to install third-party software (Java, Silverlight, Flash, or similar). The Web Portal enables the retrieval of standard production reports (e.g. batch or brew reports) from several production servers and the retrieval of MES reports. Reports created via Microsoft Reporting Services, in particular, can process data from various sources (e.g. partner system databases, OLAP, web services). All the reports from all of the sources can be selected and displayed in the same user interface via variable filters. Further, the module features a Software Development Kit (SDK) for generating unique applications.
