Plant iT and brewmaxx V8 released

The official sales release of Plant iT and brewmaxx V8 took place on November 11, 2008.
This new system generation includes the following highlights:

Plant iT material –Process-oriented materials management

was designed as a central instrument in order to ensure consistent batch tracking for order- and recipe-controlled production processes. The storage structure is mapped in accordance with the process and thus allows precise stock control of raw materials and supplies, including evaluations and researching. Combinable with all Plant iT modules, it provides a material-related view of production even for systems with external automation solutions – via Plant Acquis iT.

Plant Acquis iT –Production data management

has been extended by the addition of another communication channel which meets the specific requirements of the 2005 Weihenstephan Standards for beverage filling and packaging plants. Besides configurable standard reports for measured and metered values, event objects have been implemented for the entry of material movements in Plant iT material.

Plant iT integrate – Integration across all areas

ensures the centralized merger of data from different production areas for – uncompressed – data storage in a longterm archive. A powerful reporting subsystem (e. g. Incuity EMI) can create process step-independent reports as a basis for management reporting, including the integration of data from external systems (such as LIMS, LVS or ERP).

Plant iT multi-platform – Process control engineering on the

hardware platform of the world’s PLC market leaders makes process control functions available not only on Siemens PLCs, but also on Mitsubishi and Rockwell PLCs. The sophisticated, OPC-based communication infrastructure allows the implementation of technical classes, including final control elements and PID controllers, and also of technological classes, including a sequence controller or an object control matrix for sequence and recipe control.
