Automation solution and plant data acquisition
As part of upgrading a filling machine, the complete supply line for this machine was integrated in the existing ProLeiT Plant iT process control system with the Technological Functions and the sequencer logic.
New product lines from the filling tank depot were added to supply the dosing units of the machine over various paths. A mixer station with 8 fruit hoses, 4 mixing units and 2 foaming units was attached up-stream. The challenge here was not only to coordinate 22 communications interfaces so that the sequencer runs synchronously, but this for all product variants. The article database that has proved itself in other plants, was installed as an expansion of the Plant iT system and was specially customized to satisfy the needs of Müller-Milch. This now allows the operators to preselect an automatic recipe. The operation of the complete environment of the filling machine was realized so that a user-interface-based selection can be used to active and deactivate the production units. The complete plant data acquisition of the various production sections runs using the existing Plant Acquisit iT. The Plant iT Messenger was also set up in addition to the current analysis methods. This extension of the ProLeiT system sends a mail and/or a SMS message to inform the responsible persons as soon as the appropriate messages are present. An expansion of the current fruit tank depot with direct supply of the mixing plant using a new fruit line also brought large benefits through the use of the article database. The preselection and display of the products contained in the tanks saved the operators from having to perform the previously required paperwork, among other things.
