Management Board of ProLeiT AG

Wolfgang Ebster was born in Saalfelden (Austria) on 3 February 1960. After graduating in Engineering from an HTBL (higher technical education institute), he started working for Siemens AG in Erlangen, Germany, where he was responsible for implementing plant automation in the plastic-processing and food industry. 

Manfred Czepl was born in Hallein (Austria) on 4 March 1957. After graduating in Engineering from an HTBL (higher technical education institute), he also started working for Siemens AG in Erlangen, Germany. As a commissioning engineer, he was responsible for plant automation in the paper and food industry for six years. He also managed system development and customer training in this field. 

Josef Buchsteiner was born in Flachau (Austria) on 6 April 1965. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from an HTBL (higher technical education institute) and joined ProLeiT in 1986, four months after its foundation, and was initially employed as a project engineer. However, the focus of his work soon switched to developing software for the first process control systems supplied by ProLeiT GmbH, as the company was called at that time. He became deputy head of department in 1993 and was head of the Brewery and Beverage Industry department from 1999 to 2006. He was put in charge of the Development department in 2006 and became a member of the Executive Board in 2010. 

Jürgen Wölfl was born in Erlangen (Germany) on 19 November 1965. After graduating in Electrical Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1992, he began working as a project engineer for chemical and food plants at ProLeiT in 1995. He became team leader in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical department in October 1998 and then head of the department one year later. After restructuring of the company in 2001, he took up a new role as manager of the Pharmaceutical, Food & Chemical department and became a member of the Executive Board in 2011. 

In 1986, Wolfgang Ebster and Manfred Czepl founded "PROLEIT, Gesellschaft für technologieorientierte Prozessleittechnik mbH". After starting life as a small two-man engineering company, ProLeiT AG is now a global player which, together with its subsidiaries in the ProLeiT Group, employs more than 500 people worldwide. ProLeiT AG increased the number of directors on its board to four in summer 2016 in direct response to the company's continued growth and to ensure it is well placed to meet the demands and challenges of the coming years. 

The two founders are responsible for the following areas: As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Wolfgang Ebster is responsible for the strategic planning and orientation of the ProLeiT Group and for the company's financial condition. Manfred Czepl is the Chief Operation Officer (COO Sales) and primarily in charge of sales activities. Jürgen Wölfl (COO Projects) is responsible for the Group's automation projects. Within this context, his duties include overseeing successful know-how transfer throughout the Group, the further development of project management expertise and ensuring the very best care and support for valued customers. Josef Buchsteiner (COO R&D) has assumed the role of Development Director and thus the responsibility for further developing ProLeiT's extensive product portfolio.
