DAP – the new joint venture between Dedini and ProLeiT
On July 20, 2006 the contracts for a common joint venture were signed between Dedini Corp., with headquarters in Piracicaba, and ProLeiT AG, Herzogenaurach, Germany.
Dedini Corp. is a classic plant manufacturer with a total of 3800 employees working at four locations in Brazil. The delivery spectrum ranges from the production of mechanical components and aggregates through to turn-key plants.
The business segment activity focuses on sugar cane processing and the refining of the semi-finished products to produce bioethanol and biodiesel using a combined heat and power generation process. Other business areas are the complete equipping of breweries and also special equipment for the fruit juice and beverage industry, paper and pulp processing, through to petrochemical industrial plants.
The joint venture operating under the name DAP (Dedini Automação de Processos) has a clear goal - use ProLeiT control technology to automate these plants. Already during the preliminary phase, six employees have been intensively trained on the "Plant iT" ProLeiT system. Currently, in addition to a brewery, several plants for using the bioenergy are being processed.
The founders together forecast the annual potential to be in the order of 25 projects for the complete South American market.
