bremaxx’s Second Round of Successful Cooperation
On 17 March 2005, the managing boards of ProLeiT AG Herzogenaurach, the managers of Huppmann GmbH, Kitzingen and brewmaxx GmbH & Co. KG, Herzogenaurach signed a Contract of Cooperation in Kitzingen to regulate future cooperation between the partners.
brewmaxx, the joint venture company of Huppmann and Proleit, has established itself in the brewing sector in recent years with its high-performance process control systems. Today, around 250 million hl of beer are manufactured annually worldwide with the total of 250 applications. The success of the company meant it became necessary to further optimize resources in the areas of sales, project development and service in the subsidiary as well as the parent companies. In this context, the distribution of ownership was modified with effect from 1 January 2005. Both Huppmann GmbH and Proleit AG each hold 50% of brewmaxx GmbH & Co. KG.
brewmaxx itself will focus its future core competence on global sales. Proleit will concentrate on engineering and the execution of automation solutions and will create a network consisting of own subsidiaries and independent system integrators. In this way, global support for installation and also competitiveness should be even better ensured, including in low wage countries. Huppmann will in future concentrate on the provision of technological and plant construction competence and will support global distribution of the systems.
brewmaxx GmbH & Co KG markets control systems especially developed for the beer and drinks industry under the name brewmaxx. The software combines comprehensive IT experience with technical brewing expertise of the joint venture partners. The result is a practical, user-oriented system that enables innovative solutions especially for breweries. brewmaxx is the favored control system not only for Huppmann, but also for many other well-known plant manufacturers. Since 1997, the system has established itself just as successfully with smaller breweries as with the world’s largest brewing groups. Its use ranges from a narrowly defined controlling task to complete automation of all process stages of a brewery, including production logistics and connection of the commercial-administrative area.
