ProLeiT AG, with it’s headquarters in Herzogenaurach, focuses on integrated automation solutions for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. As a full-range supplier of PLC, batch and MES solutions ProLeiT not only guarantees the horizontal – i.e. from the receipt of raw materials up to the dispatch of the finished product – but also the vertical integration, i.e. from actuator/sensor up to the ERP system.

Conventional PLC-solutions for the chemical / pharmaceutical industry on the basis of failure-secure or failure-tolerant and highly available controllers are part of ProLeiT’s scope of delivery as are batch solutions according to the international ISA S.88 standard. How the sector-specific demands can be fulfilled on the basis of ProLeiT Plant iT is demonstrated by means of a typical application for the cosmetics industry.

Another example shows the successful hardware migration of an existing PCS7-solution to the process control system ProLeiT Plant iT. In this case, new room for extensions as well as a basis for batch functionality was created only by replacing the software. Commissioning was realized with only 7 days of production stop. The standard function “video mode” is another real benefit of the Plant iT system. This feature enables a retrospective analysis of plant conditions over several weeks directly from the running process visualization.

Application examples of process and operation data acquisition for filling and packaging machines and plants with off-line batch functionality and energy data acquisition with integrated peak shaving are completing the exhibits at the ProLeiT booth.
