Anuga Foodtec 2003
For ProLeiT AG Herzogenaurach the Anuga Food Tec 2003 has the subject „traceability“ as a motto. This is an important element of the regulation of the European Parliament for the specification of general principles and requirements (General Food Law of February 1st, 2002) for a security system for food, that comprises the complete production chain and runs like a thread through all exhibits.
The new version of the process control system family Plant iT in the version V7.0 with integrated materials management covers the demands on production processes concerning the back tracing of raw materials up to the supplier.
Moreover the integrated module “Trace iT” ensures documentation of process flows. With a consistent batch identification of the final products the way up to the consumer becomes completely traceable.
Further innovations for improved process control in the version V7.0 are:
- ISA S88-compliant batch model
- source- / destination-based route control
- diagnostics-capable phase controller for control and monitoring of step sequence-based processes
As an application example for dairies a PDA-system for packaging plants with coupling to the material management with SAP R/3 and reporting of the orders generated by APO (Advanced Planning & Optimizing System) is displayed.
This approach ensures an efficient coordination of production processes and enables to trace back single batches. Efficiency ratios for the machines become measurable, weak points become apparent, losses can be minimized well directed.
An example for the meat processing industry shows the production of mini-salami and diet-sausages with Batch iT V5.40.With the automation of the mixing plant a simplified recipe management and a significant increase of productivity could be realized.
For bakery plants the system module Plant Batch iT for batch controlled processes has been adapted to the specific demands of the baked goods industry.
Integral part of this system is a comprehensive inventory management with freely parameterizable storage locations.
It also offers extensive analysis-possibilities of current inventory overviews as well as statistics and balances of materials with reference to a certain period of time. The consistent assignment of each material movement with the relative batch information enables continous and complete batch tracking.
The quality level in the baked goods industry is already high. But it will even rise during the next years since the FDA- and GMP-regulations typical for the pharmaceutical industry become more and more important for the food industry. This development has already been taken into consideration for the current version V6.0 of Plant iT. The structure and archiving of the batch reports is already orientated to FDA and GMP requirements.
We would be pleased to welcome you in Cologne, hall 9.1, way C, booth 28. Surely one of our exhibits will be of interest to you.
