On March 2009, the announcement of the partnership between ProLeiT and Rockwell Automation, will lead to a porting of the Plant iT process control system to the Rockwell Automation Logix controller platform. This global agreement covers all segments of the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
Customers of both companies will gain access to a “best-in-class” integrated technology solution with embedded domain expertise. They will now have a choice of control platforms when working with ProLeiT.
Innovative hardware
The modular Logix control platform from Rockwell Automation is – in combination with Plant iT – a preferred solution of the process automation industry. Logix provide a wide range of multi-disciplined controllers together with communication and state-of-the-art I/O modules. All Logix products run with a common program environment and have features as shown below:
- complete redundant system architecture with error-free changeover and high availability
- wide range of input and output modules to span many applications, from high-speed digital to process control
