Plants with Plant iT or brewmaxx process control systems are not affected by the Stuxnet virus!

Stuxnet was developed for targeted attacks intended to distribute the virus within plants running with PCS7 or WinCC. The Stuxnet virus uses the following weak points:

• Stuxnet uses Windows vulnerability
• Stuxnet modifies PLC units by changing the PLC code
• Stuxnet knows the hard-coded data to get access to the WinCC data base “without authentication”

The ProLeiT process control systems Plant iT and brewmaxx do not use hard-coded accounts and passwords. Every Windows account and password of the Plant iT or brewmaxx systems can be changed by an administrator.
