ProLeiT AG at the SPS / IPC / DRIVES Trade Fair in Nuremberg
Plant iT - state-of-the-art process control technology at the SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2003
The ProLeiT AG from Herzogenaurach, Germany, will be represented at this years SPS/IPC/DRIVES in Nuremberg with a broad range of technical innovations in the fields of process and production control technology.
The major new developments of the Plant iT system product range will be demonstrated using application examples:
Plant Direct iT
The process control system - now also available as a "compact version" with the full functional scope.
The open control system, based on prefabricated technological objects (classes), has undergone a major modernization of the user interface and has been expanded with a range of new automation objects.
Plant Liqu iT
The parameter-oriented recipe control for use in the process industry.
In addition to the expansion of the basic classes, newly developed technological functions will be demonstrated in an initial application in the fermenting and storage cellar areas of a brewery. Special emphasis should be placed on the Route Control for the parameterization of entire routes, for the monitoring of switched routes and for the locking of corresponding product sequences in connection with the new class "Contamination area". Production quantities can also be calculated or parameterized via the "Volume relevance" attribute.
Plant Batch iT
The batch management system for the process industry.
It is used for the modeling and automation of batch-oriented manufacturing processes as used mainly in the foods and beverages and the chemical industries. Increasingly strict product back-tracing requirements are met by the mechanisms already implemented in the system for batch documentation with material procurement.
Plant Batch iT is consequently in alignment with ISA Standard S88.01, which fundamentally requires the separation of the physical plant from the process-related sequences. This ensures increased flexibility of the production plants and greatly facilitates the introduction of new products.
Special mention must be made of the newly developed functions:
Order management
Orders/batches can be loaded, monitored and traced via the order list.
Phase controller
The phase controller forms the interface to the batch management, to the order management and to the materials management. All batch-relevant information such as recipe parameters, currently active order and batch numbers with corresponding material-specific data such as ingredient numbers with setpoints and actual values, supplemented with the source-target specification, are visualized in a coordinated way.
Graphical order and batch visualization
A graphical order list facilitates navigation via a partial order view or via a matrix-based batch overview. This allows batches which are in production to be selected and modified in the course of the active process.
Integrated materials management with batch tracing
The batch manager ensures seamless batch tracing both on the order / partial order level as well as on the batch/phase level with material procurement in combination with the system-integrated materials management with detailed inventory management.
Plant Trace iT
The system component for the order and product back-tracing as well as the technical reports.
Based on Plant Acquis iT - the module for the production and machine data acquisition - and Plant Connect iT - the coupling tool for the connection to ERP and LIMS systems - it forms, in its entirety, a process middleware, which is especially suitable for the technical data integration of advanced automation landscapes.
The Plant iT system platform therefore totally meets the requirements of the process-related industry. Not only for the automation, but also for the uniform information management.
