World wide, the production of consumer goods is exposed to a strong concentration process. The demands on a production plant bearing on profitability, flexibility, safety, constant product quality and product liability are increasing continually.
The degree of utilisation of a production plant and a reproducible level of quality are important competitive factors.
More and more, product manufacturers are corporate groups and combines with multiple production facilities. In this case the degree of utilisation of the total production capacity is added as a competitive factor to the degree of utilisation of the individual production facilities.
 
To remain competitive here perfect logistics are needed - from the business level (e.g. SAP R/3) through the internal production logistics, the plant control level (e.g. Plant Acquis iT), the process control level (e.g. Plant Direct iT) with technological standards (e.g. Plant Batch iT and Plant Liqu iT) right down to the final individual controlling element.
 

These demands cannot be fulfilled by a single product, instead a continual integration process is necessary.
From the components and solutions available on the global market, those have to be selected which are best suited to the solution of a specific task.
